Mindless Self Indulgence, a band notorious for their sexually ambiguous (a rather ginger phrasing) message and presence, has struck a nerve with the christian rock/ gospel loving crowd… by invading iTunes Christian/Gospel sales chart.
The band classified their latest album, You’ll Rebel to Anything, as “Religious/Inspirational.” Now, after climbing to #27 on the Christian/Gospel charts, iTunes is apparently beefing with the band to get them to change their classification due to a deluge of complaints to the digital music service and on the album comments.
No doubt the confusion is compounded because of the album’s cover, which is covered by a large blue cross.
The band defends themselves, saying that “”It was iTunes, not us, that interpreted “religious” to mean Christian/Gospel.” MSI frontman Jimmy Urine adds “To our fans this IS inspirational music. I have no intention of changing the genre listing of this album.”

Quite Awesome.

And so is the tiny smile face at the bottom of the screen.
Just noticed it.

I think it’s amusing that although they’re pissed and are ready to vent, they still have to give it one star.

By the way, I’m really diggin’ this album. The “Tom Sawyer” cover is a surprising and satisfying diddy as well.
